At ISE 2014, Revolabs and Biamp Systems will jointly present a technical demo of audio-video bridging (AVB) interoperability between Revolabs’ Executive Elite wireless microphone system and Biamp Systems Tesira DSP-based media system (pictured).
The demonstration is a preview of upcoming development work to integrate the two products: engineering groups from Revolabs and Biamp will work together to develop a complete AVB solution integrating the two systems.
Both Revolabs and Biamp are members of the AVnu Alliance, which advocates adoption of the IEEE 802.1 AVB standards.
“After an in-depth evaluation of network technology, we have chosen to standardise our products on AVB because of its robustness, speed, and scalability,” said Tim Root, chief technology officer, Revolabs. “As the leader in the DSP space and a pioneer in AVB technology for scalable AV networks, Biamp is the ideal partner as we work together to bring AVB and its benefits to our joint customers.”
Graeme Harrison, executive vice president of marketing, Biamp Systems, commented: “At Biamp, our commitment to the AVB connectivity standard is evident throughout our product family, so it’s a pleasure to be working with Revolabs on this joint effort. We’re pleased to welcome another AVB manufacturer to the market. Revolabs’ new Executive Elite microphone system is a great example of a solution that uses AVB to its full potential. Once both of our companies achieve compliance with the AVnu Alliance’s interoperability standards, we see strong potential for working with the Executive Elite in the future.”
