PPDS has announced that US convenience store, Kwik Trip, has completed the installation of more than 1,000 of its Philips Android digital signage displays inside 700 Kwik Trip sites in the USA’s mid-west.
The retailer, which serves more than eight million customers each week, began rolling out its digital signage strategy in 2018, working closely with PPDS throughout the process. The final installation was recently completed in the city of La Crosse and includes a range of Philips D-Line displays.
The displays are part of the retailer’s ‘store modernising program’ to upgrade from more analogue techniques, with all screens across the company’s estate able to be centrally controlled and managed from the corporate headquarters, all of which has been help to drive sales.
Kwik Trip’s director of marketing and advertising, Mark Meisner, said: “The decision to go with PPDS came down to their System-on-Chip functionality, which led to significant cost savings over others. Also, a great (three year) warranty that helped us feel comfortable about the investment.”
Joe King, vice president, PPDS, North America, added: “Working with Kwik Trip and their integration partners, we were able to fulfil their high demands with a solution designed specifically to meet their requirements and while providing them with an advanced, best in class solution, positioned them for maximum ROI and significant cost savings.”
