Peerless-AV’s dvLED roadshow reaches finishing line

Peerless-AV, along with Absen, NovaStar, 7thSense and VISUALAB Media, delivered dvLED training in UK, Germany, France and Netherlands from 9-27 September on European Technical dvLED Roadshow

Peerless-AV and partners have reached the end of the 2024 European Technical dvLED Roadshow, moving from country to country at full throttle this September, starting on 9th in Theale, UK, and reaching the end point in Ridderkerk, Netherlands on 27th.

Together with Absen, NovaStar, 7thSense and VISUALAB Media, Peerless-AV delivered a full day of AVIXA certified dvLED training, titled “dvLED Installations Made Simple”, to a mixed audience of pro AV professionals, in Absen regional showrooms and Midwich Group locations across UK, Germany, France and Netherlands.

Peerless-AV and partners delivered technical, hands-on training on all aspects of a dvLED video wall installation

Feedback was positive with 100% of attendees saying they would recommend the roadshow to others and the training was rated five stars overall for technical vendor presentations and practical step-by-step installation, from blank wall to finished dvLED video wall playing bespoke content.

Each day provided practical training, kicking off with Peerless-AV and the installation of a SEAMLESS Universal dvLED Mounting System for flat-to-wall configurations. The reusable, patent pending Universal Spacer was used to demonstrate how easy it is to precisely align the horizontal extrusion for either landscape or portrait cabinet configuration.

The training then transitioned to Absen for the installation of the KLCOB LED Displays, introducing the specifications of this new generation MicroLED product.

Participants were given the opportunity to interact and familiarise themselves with stacking, hanging and troubleshooting before handing over to NovaStar for a demonstration of the H Series super splicing LED controller. This training section covered the synchronisation between output ports, applications of NDI, ST2110, HDBaseT, and IPC sub-cards as well as fibre transmission and audio support.

The next training segment from 7thSense explored the performance capabilities of the Delta Media Server and how system designers can differentiate solutions for clients with the varied range of media formats and generative effects available. The dvLED video wall was brought to life with digital content created by VISUALAB Media. Their session delved into the power of bespoke content in today’s visual landscapes, the impact of live data and ambient content, and how to plan and implement strategies that ensure unique viewing experiences.

At the end of the day, attendees were equipped with all the necessary know how to achieve fully operational dvLED installations. They also received a certificate with the opportunity to claim two RU’s towards their AVIXA CTS Certification.

One attendee, David Dempsey, business development director, CSL Integration, said: “A very good insight into all aspects of dvLED. The presentations, presenters and handovers were slick and polished – very well put together and others could learn from your example.”

Another attendee, Ben Packman, pre-sales design engineer at Kinly, commented: “The Peerless-AV dvLED roadshow brought together all the elements of a successful LED wall installation, from mounting solutions, different LED technologies, to processing and content. As this technology becomes mainstream, even for smaller meeting spaces, the roadshow provided a useful opportunity to gain both design knowledge and hands on product experience which will be invaluable when working on future projects.”

Dorin C. Kratzer, project manager media technology, sld mediatec, said: “I had the pleasure of attending the Peerless-AV roadshow in Munich, where new mounting systems for LED walls were presented. The training was extremely helpful, especially with regard to the safety and ease of installation of the systems. This saves a lot of time and minimises errors during installation. I was particularly impressed that the substructures can be used universally for almost all LED models – this saves the hassle of adapting or redesigning for each project. I would definitely recommend the training to my contacts who work in this field and I’m sure they would thank me for the tip.”
