IBC: Absen to showcase full range of flexible solutions

Absen will showcase a variety of products for broadcast and related sectors across four zones: Creative Stage, Conference Room, Studio Solution and Hands on Area

At IBC2024, Absen will showcase its flexible range of solutions for the broadcast industry and related sectors. Across the four days of the show, taking place from 13-16 September at the RAI Amsterdam, Absen’s range of LED solutions will be demonstrated on stand B24, Hall 2 across four zones: Creative Stage, Conference Room, Studio Solution and Hands on Area.

On the “Creative Stage”, Absen’s stage solutions feature the lightweight Saturn (SA) Series 2.6. Designed for indoor performance display, it is available in a multitude of application scenarios of flat, curved and ceiling displays. It features a smaller dot pitch with brightness up to 1500nits, a 1/12 scan ratio and 7680Hz refresh rate.

Absen’s Pixel Reality (PR) Series 3.9, featuring a mechanical design and in-camera visual effects, will demonstrate the brand’s professional platform offering. Available in two sizes, pixel pitches ranging from 1.5 to 5.2mm and exceptional curving capabilities, it provides a one-platform solution for any virtual production scenario.

To complete the Creative Stage, Absen’s Mars (MR) Series 2.5 professional floor display will demonstrate its two-in-one integrated design with a combined cabinet and high-strength frame, resulting in a thinner and lighter panel, without the need to add sub-frames. With a strong load capacity and a deep black non-reflective surface for better in-camera performance, the MR2.5 is designed for XR stage and virtual studios.

For the “Conference Room”, Absen will demonstrate capabilities adaptable for the ever-evolving media and broadcast markets, with the Absenicon X108 all in one. With its modular design for flexible installation, it presents a collaborative visual experience. Provided as a complete kit, ready to install, the Micro LED product with flip-chip COB integrates multiple Absen image optimisation technologies for enhanced visibility.

Featuring wireless screen-mirroring, and a high-precision infrared touch system, the Absenicon X series is designed to transform ordinary presentations into “collaborative works of art”, according to Absen. Within the Conference Room set up, Absen will collaborate with unified communication & collaboration solution specialist, Yealink to showcase an enhanced conferencing solution with the help of its AI-powered dual-eye camera system, the MVC S40, featuring voice enhancement.

In the “Studio Solution” section, Absen’s range of professional virtual production solutions provide the backdrop for an immersive and creative environment for the broadcast market. The Absenicon X151 as a studio solution will demonstrate the series’ flexibility for a range of applications, not just for conference. It boasts full-screen calibration, 90 percent BT2020 cinematic colour gamut and 15000:1 contrast ratio.

Demonstrating its ultra-flexible installation capabilities in the form of a curved reception desk will be the Absen Flex (FL) Series 2.5.  With the ability to be formed into large-angle concave or convex shapes, cylindrical or 90° arc shapes, the creative LED with its sleek design and cutting-edge performance is also well suited to a range of studio applications.

A popular feature on the Absen stand, the “Hands-on-Area” will once again provide visitors with the chance to experience a range of Absen’s LED up close. Additional products from Absen’s Saturn Series – the 1.9 and 2.6 will display further staging solutions, as well as the Polaris (PL) Series 3.9 PRO, while the JP8 PRO and JP5 PRO from Absen’s Jupiter Pro Series (JP Pro) will display LED design specifically tailored for touring. All these products are part of AbsenLive, the company’s dedicated category brand catering specifically for the high-end rental & staging market, virtual production and XR stage arena.

Also on display will be the Absen Neptune (NT) Series 1.9, which was designed to provide a cost-effective LED solution to create large indoor or outdoor screens. It features high brightness and refresh rates perfect for event creation. The FL2.5 will also feature for a second time for additional hands-on opportunities.

Darren Jackson, business development manager – UK & IRL for rental, staging and virtual production, Absen, said: “Live events and broadcast are considerable growing markets for Absen, worldwide. The IBC show is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate this and show how our innovative solutions are transforming the media and entertainment markets worldwide.”
