InfoComm 2024: Black Box showcases enhanced DESKVUE IP KVM receiver

Black Box will demonstrate an enhanced Emerald DESKVUE IP KVM receiver complete with the Emerald AV WALL feature set, winner of Sound & Video Contractor's ISE 2024 Best of Show Award

At InfoComm 2024 in Booth C9083, Black Box will demonstrate an enhanced Emerald DESKVUE IP KVM receiver complete with the Emerald AV WALL feature set, winner of Sound & Video Contractor’s ISE 2024 Best of Show Award. The demo is one of several as Black Box is presenting a full range of control room solutions featuring the IP KVM and AV-over-IP products used with the Radian Video Wall and ControlBridge  touch-panel control solutions.

Emerald DESKVUE enables users to access up to 16 sources and arrange them according to their requirements on up to four 4K screens (one screen can be 5K). When users add AV WALL, they can move sources from DESKVUE to a 2×2 video wall to enhance collaboration with a local team.

Also on show is the MCX G2, the next-generation AV-over-IP solution from Black Box. As a software defined video over ethernet (SDVoE) enabled solution, MCX utilises the capabilities of commonplace modern network infrastructures to deliver up to 4K 60 Hz video and audio over IP without latency or compression, Black Box says.

The company says it is suitable a wide range of applications, such as bars and restaurants, enterprise applications, control rooms and operations centres, digital signage, receptions and entryways, conference rooms and boardrooms, education and more.

A third product on display is the MediaCento, a solution for transmitting HDMI video over ethernet. MediaCento allows users to extend (unicast) audio/video from a single source to a solitary screen or distribute (multicast) content across multiple screens.

Black Box will also highlight Radian, which empowers operators to display premium content from any source across multiscreen display walls in any creative configuration. As an operator adds, moves, resizes and changes content on the user interface, those changes are reflected on the video wall in real time.

With Radian, solutions are custom-configured to meet the specific requirements of the environment they will be used in. With a wide array of component options, a system is built by choosing a processor chassis and a combination of capture, streaming and graphics cards that meet the technical requirements of the user facility. With the addition of management software, users end up with a Radian Video Wall Controller purpose-built to provide mission-critical content visualisation.

David Muzinic, senior product manager, AV and connectivity products, Black Box, said: “Our Radian Video Wall Processing system, along with our full range of AV product solutions, brings unmatched visualisation to control rooms with AV distribution/extension and crystal-clear video walls.”

He added: “We are also showcasing a recent addition to our flagship Emerald IP KVM family, Emerald AV WALL, a software feature of our award-winning Emerald DESKVUE receiver, which enables DESKVUE users to create a 2×2 video wall for enhanced collaboration. Add in ControlBridge Control Panel to control the AV/KVM systems effortlessly. They’re an exciting combination for control room applications.”
