Pro audio and AV systems manufacturer QSC is set to change its distribution model for its integrated systems business in the Nordic countries, moving from a single regional distribution model to a country-specific approach. Effective July 1, Audiovision AB will become the exclusive distribution partner in Sweden while Benum Norway AS will become the exclusive distributor for Norway. In Finland, Denmark, and Iceland, QSC will establish direct distribution working with selected in-country integrators. The cooperation with the current distributor for the entire Nordic region, EM Nordic, will conclude on June 30.
“We have been able to further strengthen our position across all business units with additional, dedicated QSC employees focused on serving the region,” said Jan Villumsen, market development manager Nordic, QSC EMEA. “With the new distribution model for the Nordics, we’ll team up with highly experienced exclusive distribution partners in Sweden and Norway while serving other countries directly, ensuring customers receive optimum support for their QSC solutions.”
Duncan Savage, regional director northern Europe, QSC EMEA added: “QSC has been actively expanding its presence and market share throughout the EMEA region over the past 3 years. Of course, our distribution model should support this development which is why we decided to work with Audiovision AB and Benum Norway AS as partners who share our vision and strategies.”
Audiovision AB, established in 1984 and headquartered in Karlstad/Sweden, is a leading technology distributor specialised in AV equipment. The products and solutions distributed by Audiovision AB can be found in over 25,000 meeting, conference and training rooms all across Sweden.
Established in 1971 in Oslo/Norway, Benum Norway AS, provides extensive expertise in pro AV and carrying some of the world’s most leading brands. Benum Norway AS will offer regional expertise and strategic alignment in the Norwegian market for QSC.
“We look forward to working with these new exclusive distribution partners as well as building direct relationships with system integrators, consultants, software developers, and end customers in the other countries,” concludes Savage. “We also would like to thank EM Nordic for their great work and commitment during the past years.”
