1 SOUND celebrates Taiwan launch with demo event

1 SOUND's new distributor in Taiwan, Seapower Technology, organised the event at the New Taipei City Government’s conference centre, where attendees were mostly systems integrators

1 SOUND celebrated its recent launch in Taiwan with a demo event, organised by its official distributor, Seapower Technology, at the New Taipei City Government’s conference room, a mid-sized theatre with tiered seating for about 330 people.

The event was designed to showcase the capabilities of the whole range of 1 Sound speakers. The demo presentations were given by Leonardo Dani, APAC sales executive, 1 SOUND, and Douglas Chang, CEO, Seapower Technology.

Douglas Chang, CEO of Seapower Technology, said: “The audience consisted of mostly systems integrators who had nothing but positive things to say. 1 SOUND, though a relatively new brand with just two years in the global market, left a strong impression, highlighting the importance of ongoing introductions of the brand.”

He added: “Taiwan, known as the global hub for high-tech industries with giants like Taiwan Semiconductor Company and MediaTek, represents an opportunity market for 1 SOUND.”

Products on display included the Contour CT28 compact, 3-way passive loudspeaker capable of delivering a maximum SPL of 140 dB. The CT28 combines two 8in low-frequency drivers and a coaxial 4in + 2in mid-high compression driver in a horn-loaded point-source enclosure that delivers constant directivity 100° x 50° coverage down to 200 Hz, with a bass response down to 70 Hz.

Chang continued: “The event also highlighted 1 SOUND’s versatility for outdoor events requiring dynamic sound. Compared to other top-tier brands, 1 SOUND stood out for maintaining excellent sound quality while being weather-resistant. The entire 1 SOUND lineup features an IP55 rating, offering robust protection against the elements.”

Chang predicted rapid growth in the Taiwanese market. “Attendees made it known that they would be planning their projects such as nightclubs, live production, and more after hearing the speakers,” he concluded.
