Jetbuilt has accelerated its expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with the appointment of Andy Tan, CTS, as director of APAC. In his new role, Tan will spearhead growth initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Tan has decades of experience in the industry, having worked with organisations such as AVIXA, Edge (formerly USAV Group), InfoComm Asia and AVPro Global APAC. Most notably, Tan dedicated 20 years to AVIXA, spearheading the expansion of the association’s footprint in Asia.
At Jetbuilt, Tan will focus on cultivating partnerships with AV integrators, distributors and manufacturers, leveraging Jetbuilt’s software solutions to streamline project workflows and increase efficiency.
“I’m thrilled to join Jetbuilt during this crucial phase of the company’s expansion. Embracing the ethos of ‘Thinking Global, Acting Local,’ I’m enthusiastic about our mission to establish Jetbuilt as the leading platform for AV professionals across the Asia-Pacific region,” he said.
Jetbuilt perceives the APAC markets as highly diverse with a lack of standardised business models. There are significant variations in practices and cultural norms across countries like Australia, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Therefore, Jetbuilt says its goal in the APAC region is to bring together manufacturers, consultants, dealers, vendors and end-users to enhance the overall project ecosystem by breaking down barriers.
“Andy’s deep understanding of the APAC market and his proven track record of success make him the ideal candidate to lead our expansion efforts in this region. APAC is very diverse, but there’s a strong need for greater cross-profession communication in the region,” said Paul Dexter, founder and CEO, Jetbuilt.
