The Zio Recording and Media Server from RGB Spectrum is “designed to cater to the evolving needs of mission-critical applications”. It handles all types of visual data and is available in various models that can support multiple streams for recording and playback simultaneously, with storage options sized to meet specific customer requirements.
The system uses a First In, First Out (FIFO) architecture. As storage space approaches its limit, it automatically deletes the oldest recordings, for continuous 24/7 recording. Users can designate content to be preserved without auto-deletion to prevent critical segments from being lost.
Other features include single video clip playback via an intuitive drag-and-drop interface; synchronised group playback, from multiple recorded sources; advanced playback controls, with playback speeds from 0.1x up to 10x and a Jump to Time feature to initiate playback from a specific time and date. It also supports export for external playback – as part of the Zio AV-over-IP platform, content can play back on videowalls, multiview monitors, tablets and smartphones.
