Custom install documentation made easier with designflow

Jones designs and Kelly Ashforth Design have joined forces to create designflow, a new company specialising in providing project design and documentation for custom installers.

To mark its launch, designflow is offering ISE visitors a 50% discount on the first three months of any new proposal subscriptions.

Providing smart building and home cinema design that the company says adheres to CEDIA/CEA/InfoComm standards, first time exhibitor designflow has been created to help custom installers with all their design and documentation needs from proposal through to handover.

designflow is showcasing how, with proposals, it can enable installers to take the delay out of turning quotes around: installers simply need to submit job information to the company and it will, it says, produce a professionally finished proposal before deadline.

The visual impact, professionalism and flexibility of proposals can, says designflow, be improved by adding images, locations and revisions to proposals, while 3D visualisation allows an integrator to help clients understand his intentions by showing them how the project will look before any work is carried out.

designflow believes it can also help installers exude professionalism by getting time-critical wiring plans turned around efficiently, while adhering to the CEDIA/CEA ANSI-J-STDs, and that precise and thorough elevation drawings enable a reduction in project management and the minimising of problems during installation with fewer call outs after completion. The use of schematics, says designflow, maximises efficiency and profit on a project by ensuring all the members of the installation team are on the same page and the system is wired, labelled and programmed correctly.

Finally, designflow’s service allows the client to be given something to be proud of with a hard-backed bound handover book including as-built drawings and detailed system information.
