The 2020 Inavation Awards were presented last night, with 22 winners taking home accolades from the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.
The ceremony underwent a significant makeover this year with the launch of both the ISE-sponsored Smart Systems Awards and the Business Awards.
The Smart System Awards are designed to promote the rise of Smart Buildings and encourage the development and application of intelligent building management and control systems. Vanti and AVN Solutions jointly won the award for their work at The Lodge, a luxury residence for Tottenham Hotspur football players and coaching teams.
The Business Awards, meanwhile, represent a new way to recognise manufacturers of AV technology and depart from the Inavation Awards Technology categories.
Andrea Piemonti, founder of ALA Equipment Company was named Project Manager of the Year, while Prase Engineering was named as Distributor of the Year.
The 12 Project Category winners came from ten countries and, according to Inavation, “represent the best examples of AV integration seen across the globe in the last year”. Dubai and Istanbul airports both featured, as did a new room in the UN Office in Geneva and a 5D dome cinema of “staggering proportions”.
