NEXO audio systems have been installed in the new bar, restaurant and club Amazónico Monte-Carlo. Taking centre stage in Monaco’s Place du Casino, the venue is designed to take guests on a multi-sensory journey down the Amazon, with Latin-American cuisine and cocktails served in plush, rainforest-inspired interiors.
Al fresco diners on the Restaurant Terrace are serenaded by jazz, bossa-nova and Cuban rhythms from live bands while resident DJs spin a blend of tropical beats for visitors to the Lounge & Club. The team at Dushow, a Nice-based live event technology and system integration specialist, chose NEXO’s compact and powerful ID, P+ and ePS Series point source speakers and NXAMPMk2 powered TD controllers to deliver the soundtrack without dominating the spaces.
The system on the outdoor Restaurant Terrace comprises 16 x NEXO’s ultra-compact and discreet ID14s supplemented by IDS110 subs, with NEXO ePS6 cabinets installed on the private dining terrace and in private dining rooms.
P12 main speakers and L15 subs from NEXO’s P+ Series provide all the performance necessary to get the party started in the Lounge and Bar, extending onto the Lounge Terrace with additional ePS6 speakers and IDS110 subs.
And tucked away down a leopard-print staircase, the Club is equipped with a system comprising 6 x P12s with 5 x L15 subs, which is designed to provide all the power and punch necessary to keep the dancefloor filled.
The technical consultant for the project was Yves Hubert, sound department manager at Monte-Carlo SBM / Société des Bains de Mer. He said: “After having participated with Dushow in the installation and commissioning of an entire latest generation NEXO system using short and medium range speakers for the new Amazónico restaurant at Casino Square in Monaco, Managers as well as customers are amazed by the quality of the sound in all areas.”
He added: “Starting from the Terrace at the restaurant as well as at the Club, the quality is there. Congratulations to the entire NEXO team for providing us with a great range of different diffusion systems.”
The bar is the latest in a series in a concept by husband-and-wife duo, Sandro Silva and Marta Seco.
