The audio design features three zones, devised to provide even coverage of all mic (Trantec radios) and line (DVD/VHS) devices. While separate zones are dedicated to the stage and rear, a third is allotted to Hangar One, enabling the sources to be switched between the two spaces.
The Martin Audio specification includes four black AQ5s – wall-mounted high along the back of the room and providing rear-fills – and two clusters of AQ12s by the Steeldeck stage, optimised using Martin Audio’s dedicated AQX system controller.
“The Martin Audio AQs have provided both an elegant and highly functional solution in a classic conference and function facility,” said MSL project manager Lance Bromhead.
Two mix positions have been created by the judicious positioning of floor traps and patchbays, with multicores terminated on Harting connectors. Everything is housed in a single bespoke desk that can plug in to either of the two positions.
MSL has also provided profile spots and scene sets from a Mode Mirage lighting board and will follow up by adding some moving lights at a later stage.
