EcoVista upgrades digital signage at East Kilbride Shopping Centre

The recent installations in Scotland’s largest undercover shopping centre included 11 Vista6ix kiosks, each equipped with a 75in Samsung display, and a 5x3m Absen K-Series LED

EcoVista, a specialist in large-format LED and digital signage displays, recently partnered with retail media company Limited Space to deliver a digital signage upgrade at East Kilbride Shopping Centre, Scotland’s largest undercover shopping and leisure destination. At the core of the installation were 11 Vista6ix kiosks, EcoVista’s proprietary digital 6-sheet kiosk product, each equipped with a 75in Samsung display.

The project is part of Limited Space’s Orbit network – an extensive large-format digital signage network within UK malls – designed to modernise advertising assets and enhance visual engagement through digital display solutions. EcoVista provided a turnkey solution, overseeing the process from design and fabrication to installation and commissioning.

The 11 Vista6ix kiosks, equipped with the 75in Samsung displays, included nine double-sided and two single-sided units, which were strategically positioned throughout the shopping centre to optimise visibility and engagement. The kiosks are locally manufactured in the UK using recycled materials.

The centrepiece of the installation was a 5x3m Absen K-Series LED display with a 3.9mm pixel pitch, designed to deliver vivid, high-resolution visuals even in high ambient lighting. To facilitate integration with the existing facade, EcoVista conducted a structural survey before installation. Additionally, an advanced control system was implemented to streamline content management.

Given East Kilbride’s status as a bustling retail destination, the installation was carried out during out-of-hours periods to ensure minimal disruption to shoppers and tenants. A key challenge was positioning the large-format LED screen under a glass atrium, requiring a high-brightness display to maintain visibility even in direct sunlight. EcoVista worked closely with the centre’s team to deliver a solution that balanced technical performance with sustainability.

Dave Neale, managing partner at EcoVista, commented: “The East Kilbride Shopping Centre project is another example of how EcoVista helps OOH media clients and landlords implement high-quality digital assets efficiently and within budget. Our team delivered multiple bespoke 75in digital kiosks and a stunning 3.9mm LED display, ensuring a seamless integration with the centre’s architecture. A huge thank you to our long-standing client, Limited Space, for trusting us with another key DOOH deployment.”

EcoVista’s collaboration with Limited Space continues, with plans to roll out similar digital signage upgrades across other prominent UK shopping centres.
