The newly constructed 2,000-seat church, known as the Celebration Center, features multiple arrays of four Cobra-4s (top boxes only), supported by VariLine VL 262 front fills. Two PWH subwoofers are installed in each of three fabric-covered cavities under the stage deck, while the centre cavity also contains a further pair of VL 262s.
According to Signature Sound’s Mike Jones, the VL 262s “really kick – the combination of two 6in woofers and one high-output compression driver provide incredible range and power for such a small unit”.
Amplifiers are DYNACORD LX 3000s, LX 2200s and LX 1600s, while other equipment installed from the Bosch Communications Systems brand family includes Electro-Voice T221M stage monitors, EVID 8.2 ceiling speakers and 4.2 wall speakers, powered by 70V EV PA series amplifiers. Signature Sound also selected a pair of Klark Teknik Square One Dynamics processors and a DN370 EQ for use at FOH.
Gary Pace, national sales manager for DYNACORD at Bosch Communications Systems, told II: “The Celebration Center is a beautiful environment supported by a Signature Sound-designed DYNACORD system. Up front, the design employs our VariLine 262 as front-fills. The VL262 employs a rotatable constant directivity horn and dual 6in drivers that couple together to provide the sound of most 10in boxes. They do it with better fidelity and a very small footprint, and they minimise sightline interference.”
