The latest version of AMX’s TPControl software allows users to enjoy the AMX ‘intercom’ experience from their iPad, iTouch and iPhone, as well as a variety of Android-enabled devices.
Developed in conjunction with authorised product partner Touch Panel Control, the software upgrade means that users running TPControl 2.0+ can now communicate with AMX Modero Intercom-enabled touchpanels and Metreau Entry Communicators using an intercom mode on the device itself.
The only necessary step is to add the device to the ‘AMX Communicator Device Module’. Users will then be able to view real-time images of visitors at the gate, and enjoy full interconnectivity.
The communications experience is also enhanced through the ‘TPCNOTIFY’ command which allows a range of notifications to be sent straight to the device, alerting users to new events and taking them back into the application.
“Since the launch of AMX Apps for Apple and Android OS, smart devices have become a popular control option for our systems and we are committed to improving the user-experience on this important platform,” said Jonathan Mangnall, sales director, AMX Europe. “The addition of intercom functionality allows us to give people an experience which is now even closer to that enjoyed on our own touchpanels.”
To enable intercom features on a device already running TPControl, simply upgrade to Version 2.0 or greater – at no extra cost – from the Apple App Store or the Android Marketplace.
