Glensound, a leader in high-quality audio systems, will showcase the European Parliamentary Broadcast System at ISE 2025, marking the product’s first appearance at the show. Designed to meet the unique demands of parliamentary chambers and large meeting rooms, the European offers a fully integrated solution that ensures clear, intelligible audio even in the most acoustically challenging environments.
The European builds on Glensound’s experience in providing audio solutions to national parliaments since 1995. It supports all network connections via Dante, with a central DSP core for advanced functions and control. The system allows for multiple I/O interfaces, including mic and speaker connections, card readers for MP identification, and integration of voting panels.
Hardware control panels, tailored to each environment, are a key feature of the European, offering precise audio management, voting integration, and compatibility with bespoke furniture designs.
The company says the system’s integration goes beyond just audio. The European is designed to address the common challenges of historic buildings – large open spaces, with multiple microphone sources and speakers. Audio delay is measured from each single microphone to every single speaker.
This delay then dynamically switches as any microphone is identified as the priority, maintaining a balanced sound throughout the chamber and eliminating unwanted delay that could colour the audio.
Glensound also incorporated a frequency shifter into the European that actively prevents feedback, further increasing the intelligibility of the system.
Busby, the fully customisable control application, enables real-time audio and video management between all systems used in a modern parliament environment. From camera control, graphics management, switching, streaming, and logging, for example. This adds another layer of functionality to the European, which allows complete control flexibility with fewer staff.
Marc Wilson, managing director of Glensound commented: “ISE is the perfect stage for the European. It’s where the AV industry comes together, and this product is a direct response to the specific needs of those who require reliable, clear, and adaptable audio solutions – whether in government, broadcast, or corporate settings.”
In addition to the European, Glensound’s product portfolio will be on display at ISE 2025, showcasing solutions across a variety of verticals including pro AV, live events, and broadcast. Among the highlights are the Greater Divine Intelligent Audio Monitor, the GTM Mobile, and the DARK DAWN 1616M. To find out more, meet the Glensound team at stand 7H825 or visit the website here.
