Digital Signage Summit to tackle key disruptive issues

Industry leaders will explore how AI, cybersecurity, managed services and sustainability are disrupting the sector at tomorrow's (Wednesday) ISE Digital Signage Summit

AI, cybersecurity, managed services and sustainability are topping the agenda at tomorrow’s Digital Signage Summit (Wednesday, February 5), as industry leaders explore how they’re disrupting the sector.

The Summit begins with ‘Managing Signage: Breaking the rules of digital signage’ in which co-hosts Florian Rotberg, managing director, invidis consulting, and Stefan Schieker, partner, invidis consulting, delve into how the industry is transforming from hardware to software, from perpetual licences to subscriptions and from silo to platform as digital signage becomes business critical and not just nice to have.

Magdalena Bogatinovska of Visionect will introduce the audience to the potential of ePaper

Tina Tse, co-founder, Pantheon Lab; Craig Francis, digital signage partner manager, Google ChromeOS; and George Pappas, CEO, i5LED, will then take on the hot topic of AI, exploring its opportunities and impact on digital signage. They will consider not just how AI technologies and machine learning models are being deployed to monitor, optimise and automate repetitive tasks, but also how the technology is also enabling exciting customer experiences.

Attendees will also hear from three global digital signage players – Appspace, Korbyt and Poppulo – that are focusing on Workplace Experience Platforms, offering solutions for on- and off-premise employees. Speakers including Thomas Philippart de Foy, chief innovation officer, Appspace; Ankur Ahlowalia, CEO, Korbyt; and Joseph Aviles, senior director of product management, Poppulo, will discuss where the challenges are and the role of screens in public spaces.

Later in the day, Stan Richter, CEO, SignageOS; Francis Williams, technical and commercial director (media) EMEA, Diversified; and Kris Hogg, head of global accounts, Samsung Electronics, will ask what it takes to become a managed service provider.

The potential of ePaper will also be discussed. A panel including Magdalena Bogatinovska, sales and marketing project manager, Visionect; Martin Lienau, product manager large format displays, Sharp/NEC; and Dmitry Rizol, senior sales engineer, Samsung Electronics, will reveal the latest trends and provide an outlook on ePaper of the future. In addition, Ian French, CTO (Taiwan), E Ink will chat with Rotberg about how epaper is disrupting digital signage.

Digital Signage Summit takes place today from 10:30-14:10 in room CC4.1.
